Kind, generous, active, fighter, strong, compassionate, smart, long-suffering, stable, dependable, organized, thoughtful, moral... the list could go on and on. Rachel Kittson-MaQatish, a schoolmate from long ago, has always been a personal hero of mine. She puts others first but continues to fight for and achieve her personal goals.
Most homeless, teen moms have no chance at success and Rachel managed to put herself through law school and her daughter is now working on her own masters degree! Her personal life is in order and she brings that determinism to her public and professional life. She fights for what is fair but unlike most she has no problem maintaining relationships because her love for people is primary, not the other way around.
I have worked with her on her project honoring fallen hero's at the upcoming Hero Half Marathon. Most lawyers are not friends of the common people, but because Rachel came from the common folk, she knows when to be compassionate and when to take no excuses.
Her passion to serve us here in Oregon is a great gift to all of us! Vote for Rachel!
