Rex Tillerson has been cited as describing Trump as a “moron,” an allegation that he has refused to deny. Considering Trump’s performance in office, I would say Tillerson has understated the obvious.
Trump’s venomous assault on any policy, legislation or executive order bearing an association with his predecessor is not only indicative of an unhealthy obsession, but threatens the welfare of millions of Americans. Trump has repeatedly failed to take any responsibility for the failures of his administration and quickly disassociates himself from the Republican Party whenever Congress fails to rally enough support for his agenda.
One of the first lessons every newly commissioned military officer learns is that a commander is responsible for everything that happens or fails to happen under his command. It is time for the current commander-in-chief to learn that elemental standard. Obama is not the president, Hillary Clinton lost the election and the campaign is over. Trump won and needs to start governing in a manner that reflects the awesome responsibility he has taken on. This is not a reality TV show.
The American people deserve and should begin demanding better than this phony is delivering.
