Seeing all the letters against guns, like Dr. Harris' (Mailbag, March 9), equating those who believe in legal carry to protect self and others, along with any mistrust of authorities as evidence of a "...paranoid personality disorder," leads me to see how unreasonable anti-gun people are.
It is obvious they have never attended a gun show or the gun range to realize typical gun owners are really normal people, often older, more mature. Those folks witnessed real freedom from the past, far greater gun presence and activities without endless gun attacks, and no anti-gun brainwashing everywhere, as we see now.
Indeed, morals, respect for others, courtesy in schools, common decency all have slipped far from decades ago. So, my question to you who absolutely hate guns and gun rights, is: If your beliefs are so strong against firearms, and you feel the World is so safe without them, why don't you place a big sign in your yards stating, "We do not allow firearms in our home or property. We have a gun free home!"
