I personally am terrified this school year. My children go to four different school buildings. The two that go to the charter schools have locked doors! Buzz in only when seen on camera! The high school and middle school in this drug-ridden, mental illness, behaviorally charged town have none. No locks, no front door security, no metal detectors. The public schools could easily implement the simple safety steps of the charters.
Something has to change and if it isn’t guns, we need security in public schools.
