We Americans who are increasingly appalled at the embarrassingly inept, unprepared, unpresidential, and constantly lying behavior of President Donald Trump and are clamoring for his impeachment need to consider the results of such an action: Who's next in line to occupy the Oval Office: VP Mike "the bobble-headed yes-man" Pence. (Do we really think he's any better than the present nincompoop holding the office?)
As if that weren't enough, next would be "President Paul Ryan." Are you quite mad? Another option might be censure. A vote of no confidence should shake Trump's haughty self-image and maybe put a lid on his offensive, BS-laden tweets and his dangerous feud with North Korea.
It was ironic to note that Trump's meeting with the Navajo code-talkers was held under a portrait of Andrew Jackson, the president who initiated the "Trail of Tears," and who was an outspoken bigot and racist. But wait, maybe it's not that ironic after all ("Pocahontas"?).
"Ol' Hickory" woulda been proud.
