Mailbag: Don’t believe propaganda

Don’t believe this propaganda from Israel’s well-funded hasbara campaign.

They send out exactly what each respondent should say; remind you of the Israel lobby’s “politically (Israeli)-correct recommended” wording for their captive politicians to use?

This is baloney. Israel is the aggressor, taking all the land, not satisfied with Palestine’s generous offer to give Israel 78 percent and only keep 22 percent of their own land.

Why wasn’t 78 percent enough? Why does Israel have to keep taking Palestinian land with continual colony building? Why does Israel treat Palestinians like dogs? Why does Israel deny Palestinians basic human rights?

Most importantly, why can’t Israel share the land? Didn’t the leaders have mothers teaching them to share?

Thank you June for telling truth to power. I'm fed up with the lies and distortions coming from what Professor James Petras refers to as the Zionist Power Configuration which seems to be alive and well in every community. Thank goodness many Jews work for Palestinian human rights like Miko Peled, Dalit Baum, and I see now there is a Facebook page titled, Jews for Palestinian Right of Return. We need to work for freedom, justice and equality in the Holy Land and the only way I see the possibility of that being accomplished is to turn all of historic Palestine into a single state with a Constitutional democracy,

Want to know why we stand behind them? Groups like AIPAC do all they can that our foreign policy consists of only pro-Israel politicians. Here is an article from today's Jerusalem Post:

I should comment that I wrote this letter as a joke (although the truth) against the website sponsoring letters in support of Israel, The Israel Project's "Israel Under Attack," which appeared as an ad on my Facebook page, urging action to support "poor victim Israel".
They had a list of about 7 to 10 "talking points" that you were supposed to build your "original" letter around. I didn't read them all, but just wrote the truth.
I assumed the Democrat Herald wouldn't print such a form letter from an activist group, but they did! Amazing! Especially since I had already had my quota of one letter a month printed....

They must have skipped kindergarten too. As for Gandhian methods, the Palestinians practice this daily but it gets no US press coverage. Dismantling the PA and throwing all costs and responsibilities as an occupying power back into Israel's lap is exactly right. This is recommended by international atty Francis Boyle, who advised the Palestinian delegation at Oslo and has written a detailed book on the relevant international law (see under his name). It would define the relationship clearly without a faux PA "authority," eliminate the PA as collaborators in the occupation, and hopefully restore them as better-respected partners in resistance movement solidarity.

The Israelis are terrorists.. I could never understand why America, especially Republicans, stand so strongly behind them.

My solution is simple and will solve the problem in a few months if not years.

    1. Dismantle the Palestinian Authority, turn the keys of the West Bank and Gaza over to Israel as the occupying power and force them to pay for it.
    2. Institute a policy like Martin Luther King and Gandhi. Non-violent popular protests that demand equal rights and treatment.

This will kill Israel with democracy and a shot will not be fired. Unless of course Israel continues it's racist policies that are worse than those that this country employed against blacks in the 50's and 60's.

One state for everyone .. not just Jews.
