Years ago, when I was in high school, we were taught American history, not the watered-down stuff they teach today. One of the books we had to read was "Common Sense," by Thomas Payne. It came right to the point and was food for thought. Boy, oh boy! We sure could use some common sense today. For instance:
Common sense tells me that open borders are ridiculous, and those who support it are fools.
Common sense tells me that sanctuary cities are outrageously stupid.
Common sense tells me amnesty for illegals is a bone-headed idea.
Common sense tells me that political correctness is a truck load of hogwash and silly nonsense that infringes on your freedom of speech and is condoned by buffoons.
Common sense tells me that our foreign policy is a complete disaster and is dealt with by a bunch of incompetent fools.
Common sense tells me that disabled vets are getting the short end of the stick, and those responsible should be getting the boot, not a bonus.
These are just a few examples. I could fill the whole page with more. But the most important, use common sense when voting.
