Are you a senior needing a little work done around your home and have been told now is a good time, because work is slow for contractors?

We asked for three bids for 10 feet of aluminum fencing. The material costs came to about $300. The entire cost of the job, quoted by the two contractors who bothered to give us a bid, were $715 and $1,195!

Does anyone else think this is just absolutely insane for 10 feet of fence?
