LINN COUNTY CIRCUIT COURT
From Monday afternoon:
Forgery — Kendra Layne Montoya, 19, of Sweet Home, was charged with first-degree forgery and first-degree possession of a forged instrument. The crimes were allegedly committed Sept. 12 and involved counterfeit money. Her bail was set at $5,000.
Coercion — Shane Evan Donahoo, 33, of Albany, was charged with coercion and fourth-degree assault. The crimes, both labeled as domestic violence, allegedly occurred on Sept. 24 and the victim was a female. His bail was set at $40,000.
Failure to report — Jacob William Bynum, 29, of Albany, was charged with failure to report as a sex offender. The crime allegedly occurred on July 7. His bail was set at $5,000.
Theft arrest — No time listed on Saturday, 1300 block Goldfish Farm Road SE. David Edward Smith, 57, was arrested on a charge of first-degree theft by receiving.
LINN COUNTY SHERIFF
Death investigation — 6:50 p.m. Sunday, 39000 block Shelburn Drive. A victim was found underneath his vehicle after his jack failed and the vehicle pinned him under it. A deputy responded and a report was taken.
Stolen car — 3:15 p.m. Sunday, 200 block S. Eighth Street. A blue 1992 Honda Civic four door with white racing stripes was reported stolen sometime during the previous night. Approximately $700 in tools also was in the trunk of the vehicle.
SWEET HOME POLICE
Vandalized boat — 11:35 a.m. Saturday, Foster Marina. A woman reported that her boat, moored at the Marina, had been damaged. An officer responded, and determined that roughly $2,500 worth of damage had been done, about $800 in supplies were taken, and the boat was entered illegally.
Main Street disturbance — 6:58 p.m. Saturday, 3200 block Main Street. The Linn County Sheriff’s Office received calls of a male in the roadway, grabbing his throat and waving a knife around in traffic. Reports indicated the man was jumping in front of cars. An officer responded, located the man and secured the weapon. The male was taken to Samaritan Lebanon General Hospital by medics on a mental health hold. The Lebanon Police Department also was advised of the situation.
Recovered vehicle — 11:43 p.m. Saturday, 700 block First Avenue. A caller reported that a man was wandering around his property. An officer responded and checked the area, but was unable to find the male. The officer did locate a 1993 Ford F-150 pickup that had been reported stolen out of Albany.
Marijuana theft — 4:54 a.m. Sunday, address withheld. A resident reported that three of his marijuana plants had been stolen.
Stolen pickup — 8:16 am. Sunday, 900 block Sixth Avenue. A caller reported that his blue 1990 Dodge Dakota pickup had been stolen.
