Mistreatment arrest — 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Linn County Jail. Harry Travis Leiferman, 27, of Albany was arrested on a charge of first-degree criminal mistreatment. He was released without posting bail at 6:42 p.m. Leiferman allegedly struck a 4-year-old child in the face.
Stolen car — 9:08 p.m. Tuesday, 400 block of West First Avenue. A 1996 green Honda Accord was stolen. The owner was warming up the car, and went inside for about 15 minutes.
Linn County Sheriff
Drug arrests — noon Tuesday, Linn County Jail. Steven Edward Grimm, 42, of Sweet Home was arrested on delivery and possession of methamphetamine and unlawful possession of firearms. His initial bail was set at $16,000. Eric Daniel Grimm, 40, of Lebanon was arrested on charges of possession of methamphetamine, unlawful possession of firearms, felon in possession of a restricted weapon, and warrants for failure to perform community service and contempt of court. His initial bail was set at $15,000.
Recovered car — 5:54 p.m. Tuesday, 30600 Butte Creek Road, near Lebanon. A white Honda Accord stolen out of Salem was recovered. The vehicle had been parked out in front of a residence for about an hour with its lights on.
Medical marijuana theft — 11:27 a.m. Wednesday, 100 block of Blakely Avenue, Brownsville. Two pounds of marijuana, which were stored in seven glass jars inside a safe, were stolen from a residence during a burglary.
Stolen stove — 11:17 a.m. Tuesday, 1500 block of West Oak Street. A stainless steel range was reported stolen from a rental unit.
Wing Ming burglary — 10:06 a.m. Tuesday, Wing Ming, 1170 S. Main St. A door on Main Street was kicked in sometime between 9 p.m. on Monday and 9:55 a.m. Tuesday. About $580 in loose change, 20-25 pieces of jade, pearl necklaces, a large bag of jewelry, an Xbox system, a DVD player and other items were taken. There was no loss value immediately reported.
