People arrested are innocent unless proven otherwise in court. Initial charges often change as a case progresses.

Linn County Sheriff

Motorcycle crash — 4:45 p.m. Monday, 39800 block Childers Drive. Michael Bodey, 64, of Cheshire, swerved to avoid two deer on his Harley-Davidson and crashed his motorcycle. He was taken to Sacred Heart Medical Center at RiverBend in Springfield, treated and released.

Fraud — 8:23 a.m. Tuesday, 35800 block Knox Butte Road. A woman reported that $3,415 was charged on her credit card to utility companies. An incident report was taken.

Marijuana delivery — 9:24 p.m. Monday, Linn County Jail. Morgan Leigh Painter, 19, of Tangent, was arrested on a warrant for two counts of delivery of marijuana and tampering with a witness. Her first court appearance was scheduled for March 6.

Oregon State Police

DUII crash — 11:45 p.m. Friday, Highway 226 at Richardson Gap Road. Douglas Conser, 55, of Scio, was arrested for driving under the influence of intoxicants and reckless driving after a crash. Conser was in his gray Honda Accord when the vehicle went off the roadway, down an embankment and traveled 180 feet in a ditch before colliding with a business sign.

Traffic stop, arrests — 12:09 a.m. Sunday, Highway 20 milepost 18. A 1998 Oldsmobile was stopped for speeding. The driver, Phillip Coakley, 49, of Lebanon, was arrested on a Lebanon Municipal Court warrant. The passenger was found to have a warrant out of Klamath County and was arrested. A search of the vehicle yielded methamphetamine. While being lodged at the Lebanon Police Department, more methamphetamine was found in Coakley’s underwear. He was cited for possession of meth, supplying contraband and driving while suspended.

Lebanon Police

Stealing electricity — 9:09 a.m. Monday, 3200 block S. Eighth St. A caller reported that people at a foreclosed house ran a power cord to his house and were stealing electricity.

    Phillip Coakley also should have been cited for having "methy pants".
