LINN COUNTY SHERIFF
High school parking lot crash — 12:08 p.m. Wednesday, Harrisburg High School. A 16-year-old male operating an SUV in the northern parking lot at the school crashed into a light post and its concrete base. The SUV went over the concrete base, ripping it out of the ground, and then high-centered on it. The male stated he was traveling at approximately 15 mph. There were no citations according to a report, but the teen was given a form to report the crash.
Burglary — 12:20 p.m. Wednesday, 47000 block Lyons-Mill City Drive. A resident said someone entered his shop and stole tools including two table saws, skill saws and hand tools. The burglary and theft occurred sometime in the last month.
Burglary — 9 p.m. Wednesday, 100 block S Second Street. A caller reported that someone broke into his residence sometime after 6 p.m. and stole a safe containing roughly $18,000 to $22,000 cash and a revolver pistol. About $400 that was outside the safe also was stolen. The residence was locked when the victim left and when he returned home, and there was no sign of a forced entry.
SWEET HOME POLICE
Elude — 10:43 a.m. Wednesday, 13th and Nandina streets, Sweet Home. Bradley Edward Amundsen, 37, was arrested for felony attempt to elude (by vehicle) and reckless driving. He was scheduled to be charged for those crimes in Linn County Circuit Court on Thursday afternoon. He also had two warrants for failure to appear, one from Linn County Circuit Court, and the other from Sweet Home Municipal Court.
