Stolen bike — 9:09 a.m. Tuesday, 1900 block of Long Street. A caller reported a stolen bicycle, adding that he believed the thief may have knocked him out because he didn't remember anything.

Missing firearms — 5:09 a.m. Wednesday, 300 block of Seventh Avenue. A caller reported two firearms, valued at about $600, taken from an unlocked truck.


Wood chipper — About 10:14 a.m. Tuesday, a caller reported finding his missing wood chipper in the 31000 block of Berlin Road, Lebanon. The chipper was seized pending further investigation.

Stolen chainsaws — 12:36 p.m. Tuesday, 38000 block of River Drive. A caller reported the theft of two Stihl chainsaws valued at $300 and a car battery valued at $100.

Wild ride — 2:35 p.m. Tuesday, Washburn Heights, near Brownsville. The driver of a sanitation tanker reported losing the brakes on his vehicle. He jumped from the cab and the vehicle went down the hill, veered to the right and over an embankment. It tipped over after smashing into trees. The driver was taken to Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center in Corvallis for treatment.

Missing items — 3:43 p.m. Tuesday, 42000 block of Ames Creek, Sweet Home. A caller reported that after going in for lunch while burning piles of wood, he found that two cans of gasoline and diesel, plus a Husqvarna chainsaw valued at $500, had been stolen.

Missing cash — 6:01 p.m. Tuesday, 29000 block of Carroll Drive east of Corvallis. A caller reported the theft of some $4,000 to $6,000 in cash.
