The Albany Parks & Recreation Department is offering a video editing class this winter with instructor Tim Babcock.

The class covers how to edit videos using Windows Live Movie Maker and how to transfer videos from a smart phone, web camera, or digital camera to a computer. Many different aspects of video editing will be covered, such as basic special effects, sending videos to social network sites and different flash memory cards.

Participants should bring their notebook computers, smart phones and camera equipment to class. Computers must run on the Windows Vista operating system or higher, and should have Windows Live installed. Windows Live can be installed in class if necessary.

Class is scheduled from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Feb. 23, at the Albany Senior Center, 489 Water Ave. N.W. Cost is $16 for Albany residents or $21 for those who live outside city limits.
