Veneeta W. Windom, 83, of Tangent died Sunday at her home.

She was born in Corvallis to Alva and Anna (Webb) Govier. She attended school in Corvallis, graduat-ing in 1946. She married Carl Wesley Windom in 1947, and had five children. They divorced after 21 years of marriage. Veneeta worked for 25 years as a custodian at Oregon State University. In her spare time, she loved flower gardening. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Corvallis.

Preceding her in death were her parents and her sister, Virginia.

Surviving her are her sons, John Windom and wife Patricia of Canby, Thomas of Tangent and George of Corvallis; daughters Theresa Niemczak and husband Walter of Corvallis, and Loraine of Tangent; 14 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

A Mass will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 9, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Corvallis.
