May 28, 1943 — February 4, 2018

Sherm Stewart was born in Salt Lake City to Iril and Edith (Sherman) Stewart. He grew up in Mill Valley California, where he was a strong athlete, graduating from Tamalpais High School, before serving in the US Army.

He met and married Gayle while working for the telephone company. They had two children.

Later, he became a long haul truck driver, who stopped regularly to photograph the many interesting sights along his way. Sherm loved horses and was an amateur underwater photographer.

Sherm is survived by his wife, Patricia; son, Matthew of Albany; daughter Susie Wallace of Mill Valley, California; five grandchildren; and brother Richard of Mill Valley.

A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, February 8, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1615 28th St. SE, Albany.
