Rosemary Kropf Allen of Seattle, Wash., died Dec. 21 at age 60.
She was born to Lester and Viola Kropf. Rosemary graduated from Albany Union High School in 1971, and attended Goshen College (Goshen, Ind.) before receiving a bachelor’s degree from the University of Oregon. She taught in Gindiri, Nigeria, from 1977-’79. Rosemary married Trip Allen in 1980.
Rosemary completed a post-baccalaureate degree at Portland State University in 2000 and worked most recently as a senior accountant at Capitol Hill Housing in Seattle. Her contagious enthusiasm and a ready laugh inspired many to join her on hikes, at her knitting group, or in new gardening pursuits.
She is survived by her father, Lester Kropf of Albany; husband Trip Allen of Seattle; two children, Rebecca Allen of Portland and Michael Allen of Seattle; and three siblings, Jan Mullet of Paoli, Ind., Gene Kropf of Harleysville, Pa., and Joan Kropf of Camas, Wash.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 22, in Seattle.
