Philip Perree LeCornu III, former Albany resident, died in Longview, Washington, on January 22, 2018. He was 50 years old.
Phil was born in Albany to Philip Perree LeCornu II and Bonnie (Jones) LeCornu. He was raised in Albany and attended South Albany High School. In 1997, Phil graduated with a bachelor degree from Western Oregon University. Prior to leaving the area, he worked for Unitrin Insurance Company.
After moving to Gresham in 2001, he began working for USPS, where he was still employed. His daughter, Peyton, was born in 2003. The love and pride he had for her was always evident. In 2008, Phil married Kimberly McCauley. They separated in 2011.
In April 2013, Phil met April Larson, who was the love of his life. He moved to Longview in 2014, so they could live their lives together.
Phil's favorite thing to do was watch Peyton play volleyball. He also enjoyed watching the Seahawks, the Portland Trailblazers, and the Portland Timbers. Phil loved spending time at the beach and hiking. In their time together, Phil and April made annual trips to Paradise on Mt. Rainier.
Phil had a great love for music. He attended countless concerts during his life. Some of his favorites were always Van Halen, The Beatles, and The Rolling Stones.
Phil is survived at home by April Larson; daughter Peyton LeCornu of Gresham; step-son, Ryan Larson; and stepdaughters Emily and Morgan Larson and Sami McCauley. He is also survived by his mother, Bonnie LeCornu, of Albany; aunts Judy Webster of Brush Prairie, Lonna Promitas of Albany, Jodie Jones of Dallas; and uncle Lonn Jones of Albany.
He was preceded in death by his father; and his Aunt Carroll.
A service will be held at 2 p.m. on February 11 at the Albany Senior Center.
