Margarita M. Crook, 66, of Lebanon died Saturday at her home.

She was born in Madrid, Spain, the daughter of Joseph and Margarita (Demoreta) Pelayo. She moved to Atherton, Calif., when she was 6 years old. She was raised in Atherton, Calif., where she met Roy Crook. They were married on Nov. 18, 1967, in Menlo Park, Calif. The couple continued to reside in California where they raised their family. They moved to Lebanon in 2004.

Margarita enjoyed helping and doing things for other people.

She is survived her husband, Roy of Lebanon; daughter Maria Kaiser of Albany; sons Michael Crook of Santee, Calif., and Stephen Crook of Lebanon; brothers Javier Pelayo and Raphael Pelayo; sisters Chris-tina Pelayo, Lumena Pelayo, Mary Pelayo and Regina Pelayo, all of California; and five grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Teresa Crook in 2005; and son James Crook in 1969.

A memorial mass will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 17, at St. Edward Catholic Church.

Huston-Jost Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
