Margaret Lotine Bliesner, 80, passed away Friday in Spokane, Wash.

She was born in Shedd, the oldest daughter of Leroy and Leola Starnes.

Margaret was employed by the Spokane County Health Department from Sept. 13, 1965, until she retired January 31, 1994. She was public health nurse #5.

She attended grade school and high school in Shedd. Margaret was the valedictorian of her high school class. She was involved in many school activities as well as 4H clubs. Margaret graduated from Deaconess Hospital School of Nursing and Technology in September of 1956. She became a registered nurse on Feb. 2, 1957.

Margaret is survived by her sisters, Wilma Byron of Shedd and Ruth Meek of Pearce, Ariz. Other survivors include her sister-in-law Edith Starnes of Reno, Nev., and one first cousin, Evelyn Rys of Walnut Grove, Minn., as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Margaret enjoyed hand crafts, travel and was a member of Whitworth Community Presbyterian Church.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
