Lizzy Lena Sage, 92, of Lebanon, died Sunday in Eugene.
Lizzy was born August 8, 1925 in Boyle, Mississippi, the daughter of Vincenzo and Virginia (Chuccole) Bari. She moved to Arkansas as a child and married Gordon F. Sage on December 4, 1942 in Pine Bluff, Arkansas.
They moved to Bend in 1943 and later settled in Lebanon in 1950. Gordon preceded her in death on February 17, 1977.
She then married Clarence Brust on August 11, 1977 in Lebanon. He also preceded her in death.
Lizzy had worked as a bus driver for the Lebanon School District for 10 years.
Lizzy had been a member of the Lebanon Christian Center since 1957. She enjoyed crocheting and working at her church. She loved her dog “Pebbles” very much.
Lizzy is survived by her daughter, Maxine Coy of Lebanon; son, Dale Sage of Jefferson City, Missouri; six stepchildren; eight grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and 7 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers and two sisters.
Viewing will be from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, May 16, at Huston-Jost Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 17, at the Lebanon Christian Center, 665 S. Airport Road, Lebanon, Oregon 97355.
