Jackie Rutherford, 70, of Lebanon, passed away at home on Thursday, May 10, 2018.
She was born August 5, 1947 in Oakland, California to Charles and Mildred (Shipley) Warnke. Jackie was raised in California.
She married Frank Richard “Dick” Pruitt and together they had three children. They moved to Utah for about six months before moving to Lebanon. Frank passed away on November 20, 1985.
She was blessed to meet and fall in love with Dwight “Papa” Rutherford. They were married on October 18, 1986 in Reno, Nevada. They had fun going camping, having family get-togethers, and watching their grandkids grow.
She worked for many years and retired from Barenbrug Seed in Tangent.
Jackie was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She had also been a scout leader and enjoyed going to country music concerts with her daughter Michelle. She found the joy of painting rocks and got to go rock hunt a month before her passing. Her favorite thing to do was go camping with family and friends.
She is survived by her husband, Dwight Rutherford of Lebanon; daughter, Michelle Mooney and her companion Keith Chorlton, Jr. of Lebanon; son, Gary Pruitt and his wife, Heather of Albany; sisters, Jeannie Posadas of Hayward, California and Sherry Brace of Rocklin, California; ten grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Jackie was preceded in death by her youngest son, Cleve Alan “Beaver Pruitt on April 14, 2017; her first husband, Frank Richard “Dick” Pruitt.; brothers, Bob and Don Warnke; and her parents, Charles and Mildred Warnke.
Viewing will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, May 17 at Huston-Jost Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 18 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Lebanon with burial following at Rock Hill Cemetery.
