Fred Williams, Jr., 66, of Lebanon, died Thursday in Lebanon.
Fred was born October 5, 1951 in Hephzibah, Georgia, the son of Fred and Savannah (Brown) Williams, Sr.
He came to Oregon in the early 1970’s and was part of Shilo Youth Revival. He studied and became an ordained minister while at Shilo. He pastored churches in San Francisco, South Lake Tahoe and St. Thomas.
He left St. Thomas to return to the United States and join the Oregon State Police. He would eventually leave OSP to pursue other interests.
While in Shilo Ministries, he met and married his first wife Arlene. They had two beautiful children together. Benjamin and Jemimah.
For anyone who met Fred, they would know very quickly his deep love for the Lord.
Fred met his current wife Gail in 1995. It was love at first sight for both of them.
Fred enjoyed sharing the word (Bible) wherever he went. He was very outgoing and no one was a stranger to him!
Fred was very blessed to have a wonderful bond with his granddaughter Myra.
Fred is survived by his wife Gail, daughter Jemimah; stepsons Cory and Kyle Turner; brother John; and granddaughters Aaliyah, Myra and Aubrey; and grandson Winter Turner.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister Janice Faison; and son Benjamin.
A celebration of his life will be held at 2 p.m on October 15 at Harvest Church International, 4646 Fox Hollow Road, Eugene.
