Aug. 25, 1930 - Oct. 24 2009

"Ruthie" M. (Dunham) Bouvia Alldridge was 79 at the time of her death.

She was born to Thelma Honn and Fred Dunham in Leon, Iowa, during the Great Depression. Ruthie was one of seven children who grew up in a one-room house with no indoor plumbing. In 1944 her family relocated to Oregon, where opportunities abounded.

Ruthie worked in the hospitality field for many years. The following are just a few of Albany's finest establishments where she was employed: T & R, Swept Wing, Darrells, Tom Tom and The Truck Stop.

Ruthie married Richard Bouvia in the late 1940s. They had two sons, Rick and Jack. They later divorced and she married Paul Alldridge.

Ruthie was preceded in death by her son Jack. She is survived by her son Rick.

Ruthie was blessed in life with many loving relatives and friends. She was a 37-year member of the American Legion, where she often worked and volunteered her services.

Ruthie especially wanted to thank the Samaritan Evergreen Hospice workers, neighbors and caregivers for her excellent care.

In lieu of flowers, please donate to Samaritan Evergreen Hospice.

A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
