Lorie Lyne Spinney, 57, of Alsea died Saturday following a motor vehicle accident.
She was born in Eugene. Lorie was raised in Eugene and graduated from Sheldon High School in 1976. She then moved to the Philomath and has resided in that area ever since. Lorie had been a homemaker while she was raising her family and had most recently worked as a home health care provider.
She loved animals, especially horses. She also enjoyed sailing, the ocean, gardening and flowers.
She is survived by her son, Colton Spinney of Albany; daughters Kandice Spinney of Philomath and Kendra Spinney of Alsea; sisters Julie Jones of Spokane Valley, Wash., Shere Clark of Emett, Idaho, and Nanci Nelson of Otis Orchard, Wash.; grandchild Baby Spinney of Philomath; father Harold Wright of Eugene; and mother Donna Clark of Emmett, Idaho.
A celebration of her life will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Albany Eagle's Lodge, 127 Broadalbin St. N.W., Albany.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Family.
Huston-Jost Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
