Donald Dee Keef, 68, died Saturday at his home.
He was born in Newcastle, Wyo., to Charles Dee and Mina Lee (Kimsey) Keef.
He met his wife Becky through his brother and on Aug. 26, 1961, they were married. He began working for the railroad about a year later. They lived most of their lives in Citrus Heights, Calif., where he worked 42 years for Southern Pacific Railroad which later became Union Pacific Railroad. He retired from the railroad in 2005 and they moved to Sweet Home.
He enjoyed classic cars, especially muscle cars, and collected toy cars and other figurines. He loved listening to music and spending time with his dog "Spice."
He is survived by his wife, Rebecca Sue (Strain); daughter Karrie (Keef) Walley of Redding, Calif.; sister Karen Key Ellis of Houston, Texas; three grandchildren; and two (twins) great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and son Ronald Dee Keef in 1994.
A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Gilliland Cemetery in Sweet Home.
