Albany Area Habitat for Humanity is hosting its second annual Mixology Madness cocktail tasting and contest from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Friday, March 1, at the JC Penney building in downtown Albany, 317 First Ave. S.W.

Tickets are limited to 250 people and cost $30. The price includes entry, five tastings, and food. Additional tastings can be purchased.

Tickets can be purchased at Xtreme Grafx, the Habitat ReStore, Albany Visitors Association, and through presenting sponsor Holly Smith of Pacific Residential Mortgage.

The event also includes door prizes, a silent auction, and awards for the best overall drink.

Cool Conspiracy will provide jazz music.

“Bartenders and restaurants are busy creating their specialty drinks to showcase for us at this year’s Mixology Madness,” said Wanda Kinney, Habitat executive director. “We’ve had some exciting items donated, including get-away trips, gift cards and a new barbecue.”

Participating mixologists include bartenders from Vault 244, Sybaris Bistro, Cappies and Loafers.
