Learning how to live better with chronic conditions, such as low vision and blindness, will be the topic at a 2 p.m. meeting Wednesday, Oct. 18, of the Mid-Valley Low Vision Support Group at Brookdale Grand Prairie, 1929 Grand Prairie Rd.
Karen Douglas, Master Trainer and Health Education Coordinator for Samaritan Health Services, will present an overview of the Living Well with Chronic Conditions Workshop, which she coordinates throughout Linn, Benton and Lincoln counties.
Also, final details will be provided for the bus trip to the Casey Eye Institute's Macular Degeneration Expo on Oct. 28 in Portland. There is available space on the bus, which also has accommodations for two wheelchairs. Reservations must be made.
