Firefighters examine a car damaged in a two-vehicle crash Friday evening on Oakville Road near the Highway 34 intersection southwest of Albany. Crews had to extricate its driver.

Linn County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to a three-vehicle crash Friday evening on Oakville Road, near the Highway 34 intersection southwest of Albany.

The initial call was reported at 5:35 p.m.

According to the Linn County Sheriff's Office, a Toyota Prius rear-ended a Chevy Tahoe after the Tahoe's driver stopped to wait for a Chevy Aveo to turn left into a driveway. The impact also pushed the Tahoe into the Aveo.

No further information was immediately available regarding the drivers' identities or the extent of any injuries, but the Prius' driver had to be extricated from her vehicle. Oakville Road was closed at Highway 34 for about an hour during the incident.

Personnel from the Albany Fire Department also responded to the scene.
