LEBANON β The public is invited to Seven Oak Middle School Wednesday afternoon to meet three finalists for the interim principal position there.
The forum will be from 3:45 to 5:30 p.m. at the school, 550 Cascade Drive.
The Lebanon Community School District is seeking a temporary successor for Wayne Reposa, who resigned Jan. 30. Assistant Superintendent Bo Yates is acting principal for the 668-student school.
The candidates are Mike Hillman, who teaches alternative education for the Lebanon district; Laurel Kash, most recently special education and student services director of the Rainier School District in Oregon; and Courtney Murphy, most recently a field supervisor for the University of Oregon and who served prior to that as assistant principal at Sprague High School in Salem.
The school district's leadership team plans to meet Thursday with each of the candidates before extending an offer, possibly as soon as this week, according to the superintendent's office.
The new person is anticipated to complete this school year in the position. Information was not immediately available on the expected salary range nor whether the interim person will stay on after the year concludes.
