Sex abuse charges — 3 p.m. Thursday, Linn County Circuit Court. Elias Gonzalez-Perez, 35, was arraigned on three counts of first-degree sex abuse and four counts of private indecency. The charges stem from allegations he had sexual contact with two minors in Lebanon between 2014 and 2015. 


Wood thief could have asked — 2:57 p.m. Wednesday, 36000 block of Tennessee Road. An Albany homeowner was on the phone with a deputy to report that someone had stolen a cord of wood from his property, when a truck pulled into his driveway and began to back up to the woodpile. Deputies arrived as the driver was loading more wood into her truck. After some bad noise, the homeowner let the woman take some more wood, telling her that if she needed the wood for heat, all she had to do was ask.

Equipment stolen — 12:22 p.m. Tuesday, 2200 Fuller Lane. A home that had been broken into six times in the past two years was hit again. This time thieves made off with $1,200 worth of glass-blowing equipment.

Leaf blower gone from truck bed — 4:18 p.m. Wednesday, 1200 block of 13th Place. A $600 Husqvarna leaf blower was stolen from a truck bed in a resident's driveway. Police are seeking a suspect.
