Child porn charges — 3 p.m. Wednesday, Linn County Circuit Court. Michael W. Irizarry, 40, was arraigned on three counts of first-degree encouraging child sex abuse. The charges stem from alleged incidents on Oct. 5 and 6, 2015, when Irizarry was found with images and recordings of children in sexually explicit positions. He was ordered held on $75,000 security.

Burglary charges — Lewis Leverne Crane, 20, was arraigned Wednesday for first-degree burglary, theft and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.

Sentencing — John Michael Joseph Dean Reagan, Sr. was sentenced Thursday to 81 months in the custody of the Oregon Department of Corrections on two counts of fourth-degree felony assault and one count of coercion. Reagan had been arraigned initially on two charges of first-degree unlawful sexual penetration and one of first-degree rape, but those charges were dismissed, prosecutor Michael Wynhausen said.


Jewel theft — 11:36 a.m. Tuesday, 29400 block of Highway 34. A caller reported that his home was broken into and that jewelry valued at $10,000 was missing. 

Just put the wood back — 4:21 a.m. Tuesday, Linn County. A deputy responded to a trespass call and heard a running chainsaw in the woods. After calling for backup, the deputy made contact with people cutting firewood and loading it onto a truck. Rather than pressing charges, the property owner asked the offenders to unload the truck and then leave.


Stolen pistol — 3:53 p.m. Tuesday, 1100 block of 29th Avenue. A caller reported someone stole her husband's pistol from a lockbox in his truck. No description was given. Estimated value: $800.
