A Brownsville teen pleaded guilty to two sex crimes on Tuesday morning in Linn County Circuit Court.
Hunter Lee Vian, 18, will be sentenced for two counts of second-degree sodomy on June 5.
According to court paperwork, the defense and prosecution have agreed to a negotiated settlement where they will recommend a 75-month prison sentence. Judges follow such recommendations in almost all instances, but they are not obligated to do so.
Vian was indicted on four counts of first-degree sodomy and one count of first-degree sex abuse, but the bulk of the charges will be dismissed as part of the plea deal.
The crimes listed on the indictment occurred between June 1 and Oct. 31, when Vian was 17, according to court documents. The victim was under the age of 12.
