Albany Police

Keys locked in car - A man called police on the 911 line early this morning asking for help getting his keys out of his locked vehicle at the 7-Eleven Store, 222 Main St. S.E. Police went to the store and talked to the man, who said he never called 911. He said he had only dialed the business line and a locksmith.

He was taken to the hospital in Albany and was treated for a low temperature and was to be seen later by a Linn County health professional.

Hells Angels after him - A man told police at the police station early Sunday morning he had taken $800 from the Hells Angels and now they knew where he lived. Gun and knife - Police responded to the 100 block of Clover Ridge Road about 7 a.m. Sunday to a call of a man in a parking lot with a gun and a sword in his belt. The man had a .357 Ruger revolver and a "huge" knife on him when police arrived.

The man said he was meeting people at the Dari-Mart to go duck hunting and they were late. To save time, he was getting dressed in his hunting gear outside his truck. Police cautioned him about carrying a gun and knife in a belt in plain view of other people.

Items taken - Several items were reported stolen from a vehicle in the 2100 block of Thurston Street S.E. Sunday afternoon. They included miscellaneous tools, a Canon Powershot camera, Bushnell binoculars and 20 CDs, valued together at about $1,150.

Eggs and syrup - A teen told her parents she thought schoolmates were responsible for egging her car and squirting syrup all over it Sunday evening in the 3100 block of Fir Oaks Drive S.W. The girl understood it probably was a teenage prank but wanted the two boys she suspected of doing the mischief contacted. Police did and the two denied the vandalism.

Up on the roof - Police discovered several juveniles behind the Calapooia Middle School cafeteria and others on the roof about 9:15 p.m. Saturday. Police talked to the kids at length about trespassing. Police said the kids were cooperative and respectful. No criminal charges were filed.
