LEBANON — FISH of Lebanon is raffling off a handmade 16-by-72-inch quilt, which is on display at Umpqua Bank. The light-blue quilt filled with golden suns was made by Paulette Stenberg of Waldport, a member of the Oregon Coastal Quilters Guild. She has made numerous quilts over the years for FISH, cancer patients and Operation Home Front.
Raffle tickets are available from any FISH volunteer, or by calling FISH at (541) 259-3200. Cost is $1 each or six for $5. The drawing will be Wednesday, Nov. 25, and the winner will be notified.
FISH provides emergency food boxes, clothing, help with prescriptions, utilities, gas, rent and other items for Lebanon residents. The economic downturn has created a significant increase in calls to the FISH phone banks, according to treasurer Sharon Follingstad.
To contribute, call (541) 259-3200 or send checks to FISH at P.O. Box 2477, Lebanon, OR 97355.
