Albany police are investigating two separate thefts in three days at a city Parks and Recreation yard at 3650 Dogwood Ave. SE.

Police believe the thefts are likely connected.

Lt. Travis Giboney said the first theft happened Sunday, Christmas Eve. Police say at least two suspects entered the yard and stole a 2008 Mitsubishi/FUSO brand truck, a 2017 16-foot PJ flatbed trailer, and a Barreto stump grinder, valued respectively at $20,000, $7,000 and $20,000.

All are still missing. The truck license plate is E242147, and the trailer license is E274092.

On Wednesday, Dec. 27, suspects stole a 1981 International 2-ton flatbed truck, along with a 2017 Morbark "Beever" M15RX wood chipper. The International was later recovered in a field north of Albany. The Morbark is still missing and is valued at $30,000.

The department has released photographs of the missing equipment and is seeking public help. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Police Department at 541-917-7680.
