Vandalism suspect

The Albany Police Department released this image of a suspect who allegedly damaged trees, flower pots and more in the downtown area on April 29. 

The Albany Police Department cited a man on Friday for allegedly damaging trees, flower pots and planters in downtown Albany last month.

Nicholas Randklev, 29, was cited on a charge of first-degree criminal mischief.

On Thursday, the agency released surveillance video images of the suspect who vandalized the downtown area on April 29.

At 10 a.m. on Friday, Randklev came to the APD station, identified himself as the person in the photographs and was interviewed and cited.

Total damage estimates for the vandalism spree have exceeded $5,500.
