A Depoe Bay woman died in a single-vehicle crash on Jan. 4, on Highway 101 near the city, authorities said.
The investigation indicated Simone Dobos, 64, was driving south on Highway 101, on Jan. 04, when the vehicle veered off the road and struck two trees. Dobos was not wearing a seat belt and was partially ejected from the passenger side of the vehicle. The crash was heard from neighboring residents but was not reported until Jan. 5, according to a press release about the incident.
When emergency personnel arrived, a 1991 Honda station wagon was found on the east side of the highway with the deceased driver.
Oregon State Police was assisted by Depoe Bay fire and rescue, the Lincoln County District Attorney's Office, the Lincoln County medical examiner, the Oregon Department of Transportation, and Pac-West Ambulance.
