Four people are safe after a two-alarm house fire Thursday morning on Pine Grove Drive in Halsey.

According to Halsey-Shedd Fire Department Chief Travis Hewitt, the incident was called in shortly after 10:40 a.m. Personnel arrived to find a motor home on fire, its flames spreading to the roof of a nearby manufactured home.

Hewitt said the blaze was out within 30 minutes, but crews remained until around 6 p.m. to chase hot spots. A second alarm had been called due to the harvest, fields, adjacent structures and time of day.

The Oregon State Fire Marshal and Linn-Benton Fire Investigation Team also reported to the scene to investigate the fire's cause, which remains undetermined.

Harrisburg Fire District assisted at the scene, as did disaster responders from the American Red Cross- Cascades Region, which provided resources for and assistance to the four people affected by the fire. Their names were not available on Thursday.
