34th Annual Independence Day Aerial Fireworks Display, 10:10 p.m., downtown Corvallis. The Corvallis Jaycees are making preparations for the display, and will follow the final musical act at the Downtown Corvallis Association’s Red White & Blue Riverfront Festival. This display will stage near OSU’s crew docks. Best viewing is along First St. To raise funds for this display, the Jaycees formerly sold fireworks at stands located throughout the community. But, due to increased insurance costs, more businesses selling fireworks and a decline in members, the Jaycees will not sponsor a fireworks booth this year. Without the help of local businesses and citizens, like you, the Corvallis Jaycees are unable to raise adequate funds to make up the difference to cover cost of the Independence Day display.
