The Living Rock Studios in Brownsville celebrates Fossil Fun Month with two hands-on presentations by Guy DiTorrice, also known as the "Oregon Fossil Guy."

The first presentation, developed for adults, will begin at 6 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 1 at Living Rock, located at 911 W. Bishop Way on Highway 228, Brownsville. The second is geared for kids and begins at 1 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 15.

Both programs will feature recently excavated fossils from the Willamette Valley, Eastern Oregon and the Oregon Coast. The highlight is the unveiling of a fossilized woolly mammoth juvenile tooth plate found by a family near Albany. DiTorrice has repaired and stabilized the fossil for eventual museum display.

Attendees are asked to RSVP via email at oregonfossilguy@hotmail.com or by calling 720-326-3573.
