Four Portland area artists are featured in the "PDX Fall Exhibition" show at Linn-Benton Community College's North Santiam Hall Gallery, 6500 Pacific Blvd SW, Albany, through Dec. 1.

The featured artists are Beth Yazhari, Nanette Wallace, Jackie Avery and Krista Trask.

A reception and artist talk will be held Wednesday, Nov. 1, from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. in the gallery. Light refreshments will be served.

Yazhari created vibrant arrangements of mixed media on dark wood panels. Wallace narrows her focus to monotype prints, featuring portraits of late-in-life individuals and capturing the nostalgia of childhood. Wallace will give a brief demonstration of her process during the reception.

Avery works with acrylic paint on wood, and includes text and rich color. Trask's paintings surge with energetic movement, seemingly coming to life.

LBCC art galleries and receptions are free. Gallery hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday-Friday. For special needs and accommodations, contact the Disability Coordinator at 541-917-4789.
