Artist Diane Widler Wenzel has a 36-painting exhibit titled "My Fascination with Water Speaks," on display through October on the second floor of the Main Albany Public Library, 2450 14th Ave. SE.

The public is invited to a reception and tour Sunday, Oct. 22, from 1 to 3 p. m. The tour begins in the periodical area across from the nonfiction area upstairs. Elevators are available.

Wenzel said in a press release about the artwork, "I peer in-between flowing reflections into the depths of lakes and streams. I love the way water distorts and magnifies the rocks deep down. Water sculpts gestural form both in organic life and inorganic bodies and surfaces. I love the gestural changes in flowers and plants fully hydrated as they spring to life and gradually open with time into expressive forms. I love how tidal waters drive the sand."

Albany Public Library hours are Monday-Wednesday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Thursday-Friday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday-Sunday, 1 to 5 p.m.
