Do you ever wonder what happens at the North Pole on Christmas Eve while Santa Claus is off delivering presents?
Tart of the Valley Burlesque has an idea.
"When the big man leaves, the inhabitants of the North Pole decide it's time take the lid off the place and have a holiday party the likes (of which) the North Pole has never seen," says Schatzie Babe A'licious. "The head of HR (holiday resources) Petunia Rufflebottom tries her best to keep things under control."
The mid-valley troupe will bring that holiday party to the Majestic Theatre stage Saturday night with its new burlesque show, "Winter Wonderland."
Tart of the Valley's past shows have featured a variety of acts, but this one is exclusively burlesque, Starena Sparktacular said.
Returning dancers Sparktacular, A'licious, Miss Rosey Posey and Tullulah Jack will be joined by first time performers Karmic Fluff and Di Abolical.
"We have been really excited about this holiday show for a long time," Petunia Rufflebottom said. "We did our poster and video shoot in June, so we can't wait to show everyone our months and months of hard work."
Dancers are encouraging audience members to bring cash for a raffle and bake sale, which will include organic, conventional, and gluten-free cookie options.
It's also possible Santa will make an appearance in the theater.
"We have added the opportunity to get photos with our special twist on Santa, available in the lobby during intermission and prior to the show," Rufflebottom said.
