LINCOLN CITY — The No. 1 Santiam Christian boys basketball team cruised to a 67-43 West Valley League win at Taft on Monday night.

Grant Carley led a balanced offense with 18 points while Zach Baugher added 13 and Russel Vela, Josh Baugher and Sam Barton all had nine.

SC led 31-22 at the half but took control with a 23-9 edge in the third quarter.

The Eagles (11-1, 3-0) remain in a first-place tie with Dayton, which edged Amity 66-60 at home on Monday.

Santiam Christian hosts Horizon Christian at 6 p.m. on Wednesday.

LINCOLN CITY — Santiam Christian picked up its second straight West Valley League win, this time 53-46 at Taft on Monday.

The Eagles (4-8, 2-1) host Sheridan on Friday night.
