GRESHAM — The Linn-Benton men’s basketball team picked up its second consecutive Northwest Athletic Conference victory Saturday afternoon, defeating Mt. Hood 70-63 on the road.
Bailey Evers paced the Roadrunners with 22 points, four rebounds and three steals. Taylor Jensen recorded a double-double with 12 points, 13 rebounds, five assists and four steals.
Neither team shot well as LBCC finished 24 of 73 (32.9 percent) from the floor while Mt. Hood was just 16 of 69 (26.1 percent) on its field goal attempts.
The Roadrunners (14-6, 4-3) host Southwestern Oregon Wednesday night.
GRESHAM — Mt. Hood held the Linn-Benton women’s basketball team to just 14 first-half points en route to a 66-48 victory.
The Saints blew the game open with a 22-2 run that spanned the end of the second quarter and the beginning of the third.
“We just didn’t attack the basket offensively and we had a hard time scoring,” LBCC coach Debbie Herrold said. “Give them credit, they played very hard.”
Madeline Oakden led the Roadrunners with 18 points, four steals and three assists. Courteney Landis added 13 points, six steals and four assists.
Mt. Hood outrebounded LBCC 53-35.
The Roadrunners (7-12, 2-5) return to NWAC South Region play Wednesday with a home game against Southwestern Oregon.
