SALT LAKE CITY — Oregon State's regular-season softball finale at Utah was cancelled due to weather on Saturday.
The Beavers end the regular season 28-26 overall and will await their postseason fate on Sunday. The NCAA selection show begins at 7 p.m.
Also Saturday, five players were honored by the Pac-12.
Designated player/first basemen Alysha Everett was a third-team all-Pac-12 selcetion after leading the Beavers with a .304 batting average and 52 hits. She had a team-high 11 doubles with 20 RBIs and a .439 slugging percentage.
She was named to the second team last year and freshman team in 2015.
Designated player/first basemen Hope Brandner was also selected to the third team as well as the freshman team. She leads the team with 34 RBIs and a .533 slugging percentage. She batted 300 with a team-high 11 home runs .
Pitcher Mariah Mazon was also on the third team and freshman team. Mazon had 11 wins with a 2.90 ERA in 181 innings pitched; she had 132 strikeouts.
Second basemen Camryn Ybarra was selected to the all-defensive team as well as the freshman team. Ybarra started 50 games at second base with a fielding percentage of .977 with 78 putouts and only four errors. She batted .226 on the season racking up 33 hits, five doubles, two home runs and 13 RBIs.
Missy Nunes was named to the freshman team. Nunes played the vast majority of the season at third base starting 49 games at the position and finished the season at six starts shortstop. The freshman averaged .262 at the plate with 39 hits including eight doubles, six home runs and 19 RBIs.
