STANFORD, Calif. — Alysha Everett and Hope Brandner both homered in the fifth inning and the Oregon State softball team knocked off Stanford 4-1 for the second straight day in the Pac-12 series.

The Beavers (23-17, 6-8) will look for the series sweep at noon Sunday.

Everett blasted a two-run homer in the fifth to put the Beavers up 3-0. Brandner then homered for the second straight game for a 4-0 lead.

The Beavers took a 1-0 lead in the fourth on an RBI groundout by Camryn Ybarra.

Missy Nunes was 3 for 4 for the Beavers and Everett had two hits as the Beavers had seven for the game.

Meehra Nelson worked five innings, allowing five hits and one earned run. She had three strikeouts and issued two walks to pick up the win and improve to 12-7.

Nerissa Eason walked one and struck out one in two scoreless and hitless innings of relief for her first save.
