A Benton County Circuit Court judge on Thursday lowered the bond amount in the case against a Brownsville man charged with child sexual abuse, court records show.
Calvin Ray Mott, 36, posted bond and was released from the Benton County Jail following Judge David Connell’s decision, according to court records.
Judge Locke Williams originally set the bond in Mott's case at $200,000. Connell lowered the bail to $100,000.
Mott faces two counts of first-degree sexual abuse. An indictment filed in his case alleges he sexually abused a 12-year-old girl in Benton County earlier this year.
Corvallis police arrested Mott on Oct. 9. Prosecutors filed charges the following day.
Mott is being represented by Corvallis attorney Dan Armstrong.
