A Corvallis man died Thursday evening after being struck by a vehicle on Northeast Circle Boulevard near Northeast Belvue Street in Corvallis.
According to a Corvallis Police Department news release, a 60-year-old man in dark-colored clothing was walking along the fog line of Northeast Circle Boulevard, when he was struck by Ford Expedition driven by a 56-year-old Albany resident who was traveling eastbound on Circle.
The pedestrian was transported to Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center, where he died from his injuries. His identity is being withheld until next of kin can be notified.
The Expedition's driver is cooperating with the crash investigators and has not been charged with any violations related to the incident. Drugs, alcohol and distracted driving are not considered factors in the crash. The location was poorly lit, and visibility was low due to the weather, the report said.
Traffic on Northeast Circle Boulevard was limited for several hours during the investigation.
